Over 30 years July 20, 2010 Aunt Bev I have worn some variety of this watch for almost thirty years. I love them. I am a professional psychometrist and use it to time people in my profession, using the stopwatch function. The countdown feature is my favorite, it is so easy to time things on the stove, to time your exercise routines, to set time management limits, etc. Over the years it has timed suntanning sessions, reading sessions, breaks, many things. Nothing to really scroll and set, just choose if you want 1 minute, 3min, 5min, 10, 15,20, 30 presets. The alarm sounds when it gets there...just neat! I can no longer find these in regular stores, so I am SO PROUD they are available here on Amazon. I order two at a time to qualify for free shipping and because I always need a spare in case I loose one! Hint: Always have some alarm set so that you can locate it when it goes off if you do! Thanks Amazon!
Best Little Watch June 28, 2010 Cat As a young adult, I have a rather active lifestyle - going places, doing things, appointments to remember - and this cute little watch has come along for the ride without any major problems. I've swum in the ocean with it, sweated in the tropics with it, banged it on concrete, left it in serious heat... As a side note, the little fish accent at the end of the strap is an adorable touch to the watch!
I bought the little guy at Kmart, but recently returned to buy a second one when the straps broke only to find that the store no longer carries this classic little casio.
I only have two qualms about recommending it: 1) the straps seem to go brittle in about two years of heavy use [and I've replaced the battery once] and 2)there is no illumination/glow-in-the-dark option for it, which makes it slightly less useful for darker settings like unlit rooms or camping tents.
love this watch!!! May 11, 2010 Debbie (Boston, MA) This is about the third time I've bought this watch. The watch itself never quits. The plastic/rubber strap will crack or break first, and then the battery will finally die (after a normal life span). I found it less expensive to just buy a new watch, than to replace the battery and the strap.
It has all the functions you might need. Love the alarm and the count down timer. I use the stop watch feature for running and I wear it swimming all the time. Never a problem.
Also, it is slimmer than most sport watches. It doesn't look "clunky" even if I wear it with dressier clothes.
Great ladies' watch May 6, 2010 Lynne M. Owens Had previously owned this model--was very glad to find it again. Very thin and comfortable.
My constant companion for decades April 18, 2010 P. Dickson Despite wearing this watch continually over the last few decades, I have had to purchase only about five of them. It is exactly what I want: an inexpensive high-quality reliable digital wrist watch that looks great and has many useful features. The count-down timers are indispensable; I use them many times a day. Thanks to Casio and Amazon for keeping this nearly perfect available!
